Clem has over 40 years of experience helping contractors establish and expand their surety lines of credit. He worked for eight years as an underwriter and Bond Manager for USF&G (now part of Travelers) and Bond Manager at The Hartford, and four years for a full lines insurance agent before he and his wife Pauline founded PCL in 1985.
Clem served as a director for Associated Builders and Contractors-North Texas from 2005-2008. In August 2007, ABC-NT presented him with the “Excellence in Government Award,” recognizing him for his ongoing commitment and efforts on behalf of ABC, its members, and the construction industry in the areas of legislation and political action. He continues to be involved in Government Affairs at TEXO, the DFW area chapter of ABC and AGC.
Prior to earning his business degree from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, he spent part of his military duty in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers working on power generation systems for NATO sites in Europe.
Eric joined PCL as a producer in September 2008 after nine years at Lockheed Martin where he worked on hardware and software for missile, launcher and reconnaissance system for our U.S. military.
Eric graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington in 1999 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. While attending college he met his wife, Melissa, who also works at PCL (see below).
Melissa joined PCL in February of 2013. She is a licensed agent and her top priorities will be business development, association participation, organization of seminars and client appreciation events. She has been married to Eric Lesch since 1999 and together they have two children, Sophia (12) and Evan (9). If you have been to an Attitude Adjustment Party then you may have already met her. When not working you can usually find her on the golf course or with her shotgun shooting clays!
Felix joined PCL in April of 2018. In his roll as our Controller he manages accounting, bond production, and analysis of client financials. He graduated from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana with a degree in Accounting. After college he worked at the largest CPA firm in the Lake Charles area for four years in the controllership department where he worked hand in hand with owners of small businesses. Felix is very knowledgeable in accounting and has extensive experience working with PeachTree, QuickBooks, and QuickBooks Online.
When not working, you will likely find Felix out and about going to estate and garage sales, antique malls, and swap meets in search of the next item for his vintage advertising collection. He also enjoys fishing and bowling, and keeps a 200 average in league!
